Mar Menor – 2023

The “CTD INFANTA CRISTINA” is an installation of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, located in the municipality of Los Alcázares, on the shores of the Mar Menor.

The Mar Menor is a little sea separated from the Mediterranean Sea by slender strip sand known as the Manga del Mar Menor, these seas are connected by a navigable channel.

These facilities have been designed for the development and practice of sports in general and water sports in particular. All those are adapted for disabled access, being able to accommodate to training and competitions of any type of sports.

The Center is ideal for permanent concentrations of the different Federations, clubs or teams in the pre-season period and to winter training camp, considering the mean temperature in this season is 18º.

The special microclimate of the area means an absence of winds in the early morning and late evening, ideal for canoeing, rowing and waterskiing, and winds of average speeds during the rest of the day, which are good for sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, etc.

The Center collaborates with the Higher Council of Sports, together with the Spanish Federations of different sports disciplines, in the development of the National Program of Sports Technification.
