From 7 to 10 October, Quiberon Bay closed the 2026 ETF26 Series season. And it was the local team, Team Pro, who took it all: 12 races won out of 15 at the Grand Prix, and the season championship to go with it.
A masterclass on home waters
Seven crews on the start line, perfect weather with 12 to 25 knots and flat water, and fifteen races sailed in four days. The ideal conditions to see these flying catamarans at their best.
From day one, Team Pro took control and never let go. Tim Mourniac, Pierre-Yves Durand and Benjamin Amiot won 12 races and never finished lower than third. “We were very fast on the water, we won 12 of the 15 races,” says Tim Mourniac, Team Pro’s helmsman, who enjoyed every minute of sailing with Pierre-Yves and Benjamin. After a lot of mistakes at the previous events, the crew “managed to find the right configuration” on this last one. A performance never seen at any Grand Prix of the series, which Tim is “super happy” to share with Kinou, their coach, and their sponsors.
Blueshift Sailing Team takes second place, ahead of Entreprises du Morbihan. The battle promised to be tight: Team Pro and Blueshift arrived level on points, and whoever finished ahead in Quiberon would take the title. Blueshift’s Henri Demesmaeker knew what was at stake: “We came into the event knowing that the one boat that would be in front of the other at the end would win the championship, so we went into this race very motivated.” But against Tim, who grew up here and knows the racing area inside out, it was always going to be tough. “He did a very good job. We managed to make their life a little bit harder, but nothing compared to Lorient.” Knowing the bay like the back of their hand made the difference.
For Maxime Grimard, Class Manager of the ETF26 Series, this sixth consecutive visit to Quiberon is anything but routine. The class is “very grateful” to return, and he praises a club that put extra resources into delivering “exceptional hospitality”. A big thank you goes to the town of Quiberon, the club’s partners and the class partners. While the bay “is always impressive for its sporting quality”, it was the experience ashore that stood out: “incredible, with a lot of hospitality.”
The event also came with prize money: €10,000 for the winner, €4,000 for second place and €1,000 for third.

For Tim Mourniac, the season was a success from start to finish. “The boat has changed a lot,” he says. “It is now flying upwind, with a nice pace around the course, and downwind it is super in control.” The main challenge of the season was finding the balance to control the boat. On the water, what he remembers most is the fight with Blueshift: “We had a super fight with Blueshift the whole season. For me as a sailor, it was a perfect season. We can’t wait to try new settings and to keep going!”
Blueshift shares the same satisfaction. Henri Demesmaeker praises “another amazing collaboration with Charles”, their fourth year together and the first with Rasmus. It was also their first season foiling upwind, with real progress along the way: “I think we improved a lot through the season. Last year we were a marginal second, and this year we won two events and were in the fight for the overall ranking until the end. We’re looking forward to next season.”

2027: heading for the 10th anniversary
The 2026 season is over, and all eyes are already on the next one. In 2027, the ETF26 Series will celebrate its tenth season, and it promises to be historic. Changes in the fleet, an even stronger sporting level and plenty more to come: the class still has a few cards up its sleeve. The stated goal: 10 boats on the start line. And a first date is already locked in: we’re coming back to Quiberon next year! It’s going to be a crazy year.
The ETF26 Series keeps attracting new teams, and stands as the best playground for crews looking to train on a high-performance foiling catamaran.
