Toroa return for a 6th season crewed by British and NZ sailors. Looking forward to a new season with the new foils and sails, as the ETF26 transitions to a full foiling set-up.
The team joined the circuit in 2021. Toroa has had crew from New Zealand and Great Britain , including several Olympians from the Nacra17 class and medallists John Gimson & Anna Burnet.
Owned by ex-pat New Zealander and ETF26 Class President, Mark Rijkse, Toroa Racing Team is named for the elegant and beautiful sea-skimming Toroa – which means “albatross” in the Māori language of New Zealand.
