Act 2 of the ETF26 Series kicked off spectacularly at the prestigious GPEN hosted by the École Navale Française in Lanvéoc, Brest Bay. Known for its ideal racing conditions, the bay offered competitors flat waters perfect for foiling catamarans. Participants were warmly welcomed by the French Navy, which notably provided an impressive committee boat for the event.

The fleet saw the return of nearly all the crews who competed at Quiberon, with two notable absences—Team Bro and Trident Racing Team. However, excitement rose with the much-anticipated comeback of Denmark’s Rockwool Racing Team, adding another competitive edge to the regatta.

The first two days of racing have been intensely competitive, with standings shifting dramatically race by race. Initially, Blueshift Sailing Team, helmed by Charles Dorange and Henri Desmarker, took command, demonstrating their prowess and dominating day one. Day two saw a thrilling fightback by Entreprises du Morbihan, led by Matthieu Salomon, who managed to draw level with Blueshift, both teams tied at the top with 18 points each.

Just behind them, consistently strong performances from K-Challenge Blue, led by Quentin Delapiere have placed them firmly in third, trailing closely at just 20 points.

Weather-wise, the fleet experienced stable and robust wind conditions on day one, whereas the second day tested teams with lighter, more unpredictable breezes. With a third day of competition ahead, unpredictability is expected to continue, promising further exciting developments.

Stay tuned as the thrilling action continues and the teams battle it out on the waters of Brest Bay!
