The Grand Prix Mar Menor brought the 2025 ETF26 Series season to a spectacular close, with Blueshift Sailing Team, led by Charles Dorange, claiming victory after a weekend of light but steady foiling conditions.

With 30 points, Blueshift took the win on countback ahead of Entreprises du Morbihan, marking a thrilling finale to the Spanish event.

“We’re super happy — we had great conditions again, with a light breeze that still allowed us to fly throughout the races, and we managed to secure this fantastic victory,” said Charles Dorange. “We came here focused on training as much as possible to gain experience with the new foils. We’d already done some sessions in stronger wind before the event, which helped us understand how the foils work and find the right balance.”

Blueshift’s preparation clearly paid off. Once racing began, the team quickly found the right settings and pace, excelling in the lighter breeze that characterized the final regatta of the season.

“We had a bit of a breakthrough at the end of the championship,” Dorange added. “The feeling on board was great, we were communicating really well, and the boat was fast. The class is becoming increasingly professional. We’re currently the team with the smallest budget, but we’re really motivated to keep pushing and find ways to continue, because the level of the fleet is just incredible.”

The Grand Prix Mar Menor concluded a record-breaking ETF26 season, highlighting both the competitiveness and the technical evolution of the class with the introduction of the new integrated foils.
