Five years of presence, five unforgettable editions. The Foiling Week on Lake Garda once again provided the perfect backdrop for one of the most iconic stops on the ETF26 calendar. After 14 races sailed on the legendary waters of Malcesine, it is Entreprises du Morbihan —:Matthieu Salomon, Valentin Bellet and Solune Roberts, who take the top step of the podium for the fourth consecutive time at this venue.
A hard-earned victory
This 2026 edition was anything but straightforward for Entreprises du Morbihan. After a challenging start to the season, the team arrived in Malcesine determined to find their rhythm. “It was a fairly complicated event. We needed to get back on track after two Grand Prix where we struggled to find our footing with the new boat, new foils, new sail setup. We had to work on our weak points between events. And we managed to do that,” explains Matthieu Salomon.
The presence of their partners at the venue also played a role. “It helped us push beyond ourselves. We’re happy ,we managed to iron out the imperfections and above all to be very fast upwind in full foiling mode. The training between events really paid off. We needed that confidence boost.”
Team Pro: always in the hunt
Just two points separated the top two teams in the final standings : 27 against 29. European Champions Team Pro (Tim Mourniac, Benjamin Amiot, Pierre-Yves Durand) shadowed the leaders throughout the entire event, making the final day a genuine thriller. The Breton crew pushed Entreprises du Morbihan all the way to the last race, confirming their status as the class’s most consistent threat this season.

Team Sport Bams: the revelation of the season
One of the standout stories of this Foiling Week is the continued rise of Team Sport Bams, who finish fourth overall. Erwan Fischer, Clément Pequin and Yann Jauvin delivered an outstanding series of results : particularly in the lighter, more unpredictable conditions that characterised much of the week. For a team in their debut season on the ETF26 circuit, this performance sends a clear message to the rest of the fleet.
Five years on the world’s most beautiful lake
Lake Garda continues to offer an unmatched setting for ETF26 racing. Reliable thermal winds, a stunning Alpine backdrop and the world-class facilities of Fraglia Vela Malcesine make this venue one of the highlights of the international foiling calendar. After five consecutive editions, it remains a privilege for the entire fleet to race here — and the magic never gets old.
Next stop: Lorient
After three Grand Prix in Italy and Spain, the ETF26 fleet heads home to France for one of the most anticipated events of the season: GP Lorient, scheduled for 15 August. The event carries particular significance for the class, as Class Manager Maxime Grimard explains: “Lorient is an important event for us. That’s where the boat was born, where it was designed. Half of the teams are based there, as are the class’s partners. It’s the first time we’ve been able to bring foiling catamarans this fast and impressive to Lorient. We’re not SailGP yet, but we’re the closest thing to it in France.”
Matthieu Salomon is equally motivated for the home event: “The next event is in Lorient : home turf. We haven’t sailed there much, so it’s not exactly familiar territory, but the advantage is that we’ll have our supporters and partners with us. We’ll train hard, because we still have work to do if we want to get back to the ease we had with the old boat setup : and the fleet’s level is very high.”
Lorient is a city deeply rooted in offshore sailing culture. The ETF26 will bring something radically different: spectacular inshore foiling racing, accessible to the public and of an international standard.
