The ETF26 SERIES made its fifth appearance at the legendary Lake Garda for Foiling Week, the third stage of the 2025 championship. With big breeze, intense racing, and a world-class fleet, the event lived up to expectations. The week ended with an all-French podium and a statement win from Entreprises du Morbihan, skippered by Matthieu Salomon.
“A dream week,” Salomon described it. “Conditions were full-on, and racing against Quentin and K-Challenge was exactly what we love—tight, high-pressure sailing where no one gives anything away. The setting was incredible, the conditions were perfect—everything lined up for a great regatta.”
Consistency was key throughout the week, and Entreprises du Morbihan delivered. Their clean starts, smart positioning, and stable performance across all conditions earned them 23 points and the top spot on the leaderboard. Just behind them, K-Challenge Blue, led by Quentin Delapierre, pushed hard to stay in the fight, finishing with 27 points after a strong final day.
Delapierre praised both the event format and the competition, noting that “the reaching starts really echo SailGP, while the upwind legs feel more like Nacra racing—it’s such a fun and demanding platform. Entreprises du Morbihan sailed super consistently; it was really hard to get them out of the top three.”
The podium was rounded out by Blueshift Sailing Team, skippered by Charles Dorange and Henri Desmaeker, with 40 points—securing a fully French top three. The performance confirms the strength and depth of the French fleet, which continues to set the pace on the ETF26 SERIES this season.
Class manager Maxime Grimard highlighted how special this stop is for the fleet. “It’s our fifth time at Foiling Week and it never disappoints. This event, we were excited to welcome a new international entry—Samsin, a Canadian team skippered by Graeme Sutherland. The fleet is becoming more global, and that’s exactly where we want to go.”
With three events now complete, the 2025 season hits its halfway point—and the title race is wide open. The top three teams are separated by just two points overall, setting up a thrilling second half of the season. As always, the ETF26 SERIES continues to deliver elite racing, strong camaraderie, and pure foiling action.
